Agreement to Terms

Welcome to PathwaySA. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of PathwaySA's website, applications, and services (collectively, the "Services").

By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Services.

Eligibility

To use PathwaySA, you must:

• Be at least 17 years of age (or have parental/guardian consent if younger)
• Be a resident of or located in South Africa (primary target audience)
• Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
• Not be prohibited from using the Services under applicable law

Account Registration

When you create an account with us, you agree to:

• Search and apply for legitimate opportunities (bursaries, jobs, internships)
• Participate constructively in community discussions
• Share helpful information and support other users
• Use calculators and planning tools for your educational journey

Prohibited Conduct

You agree NOT to:

• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Harass, bully, threaten, or intimidate other users
• Post content that is hateful, discriminatory, or offensive
• Share spam, advertisements, or promotional material without permission
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation
• Upload malware, viruses, or harmful code
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Scrape, data mine, or collect user information without consent

User Content

When you post content on PathwaySA (including posts, comments, and profile information):

• You retain ownership of your content
• You grant PathwaySA a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content within the Services
• You are solely responsible for your content and its accuracy
• You warrant that you have the right to post such content

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or that we deem inappropriate, without prior notice.

Intellectual Property

PathwaySA and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by PathwaySA and are protected by South African and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

The PathwaySA name, logo, and all related names, logos, product and service names, designs, and slogans are trademarks of PathwaySA. You may not use these marks without our prior written permission.

Third-Party Content and Links

Our Services may contain links to third-party websites, opportunities, and resources. These include bursary applications, job listings, and educational institution websites.

• We do not control or endorse third-party content
• We are not responsible for the accuracy or availability of external opportunities
• You access third-party sites at your own risk
• Always verify opportunity legitimacy before providing personal information

Disclaimer of Warranties

PathwaySA is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
• Warranties that the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free
• Warranties regarding the accuracy of opportunity listings or educational information
• Warranties that defects will be corrected

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, PathwaySA shall not be liable for:

Termination

Dispute Resolution

• Governed by South African law and subject to the jurisdiction of South African courts

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
